When Celeste finally gets an opportunity to forge a relationship with Isla, she thwarts Isla's plans. Celeste is the ruler of Starling's kingdom and often lays traps for Isla. CelesteĬeleste is the youngest ruler in the six realm kingdoms. Isla has avoided being too engaged with these other rulers for many years because their intentions toward her kingdom are still being determined. Grimshaw is a naughty leader who cannot be trusted. Grimshaw is the ruler of the hated Nightshade kingdom. Nevertheless, Isla has mastered surviving the death trap during the Centennial event. However, destroying the curse is risky because one of the rulers must die in the process. Isla works closely with the leaders of the other six realm kingdoms, and they meet after every 100 years in an event called Centennial to discuss how they can destroy the killer curse. When Isla comes into power, her people request her to do her best to salivate them from the killing curse. Wilding is one of the six kingdom realms that are doing their best to destroy the historical curses that horrifically harm the citizens of the islands. Isla Crown is the central character in the novel, and she is the ruler of Wilding.
